‘It’s a Girl Thing’, an event to inspire and unite young girls opens at Marina Bay Sands on 10 September 2016

Mamas! If you want to empower underage teenage daughters (8 to 18 years old) and help them avoid being bullied, ‘It’s a Girl Thing’ happening this Saturday will help them with just that!

‘It’s a Girl Thing’ is an inspiring entertainment meets education festival taking place at Marina Bay Sands. Organized by the producers of YouTube FanFest, the multicultural and inclusive event promotes positive personal development and explores key social issues such as anti-bullying, self-worth and the expectations of the future. Through self-curated content, celebrity Lilly Singh (aka ||Superwoman||) along with a sensational line-up of international social stars, such as Claire Marshall and Brooklyn & Bailey, will be sharing personal stories, knowledge, and experiences, to empower and educate their fans on what it takes to be successful in today’s socially connected world.

Bringing passions of music, beauty, media, fashion and well being to life, It’s a Girl Thing ignites the flame with the opportunity to meet and listen to inspirational stories told by incredible people, who have made a career by inspiring others. Taking the stage and delivering insightful performance will be some of the big names on Youtube.

Lilly Singh (aka IISuperwomanII)

Lilly Singh (aka IISuperwomanII) is a multitalented entertainer who brings a message of positivity to her global audience. She has found worldwide fans through her comedic and inspirational videos on youtube, amassing over 10.6 million subscribers across her YouTube channels, and over 1.4 billion lifetime video views. Lilly’s distinct style of observational comedy and talent for creating characters, such as those inspired by her parents, have led her to produce various viral hits. Her channel is one of the Top 10 most viewed andsubscribed to channels.

Claire Marshall (Hey Claire)

LA-based makeup artist turned content creator, Claire Marshall has always pushed to create unique and fun videos that share different facets of her life. Whether sharing her thoughts on products, style or life experiences, she welcomes you along for the journey.

Brooklyn and Bailey

Brooklyn and Bailey are 16-year-old identical twins, who have been running the popular BrooklynAndBailey lifestyle channel on YouTube since March 2013. Since then, the girls have amassed over 2.7 million subscribers with a total of 350 million video views, averaging 20 million views per month. BrooklynAndBailey are also YouTube’s first second generation million subscriber channel. The twins were recently featured in People magazine and listed as one of Variety magazine’s Top 10 Famechangers of 2016. They are the oldest of six children, and daughters of Mindy from the popular CuteGirlsHairstyles channel.

Mindy McKnight

With Mindy’s creative genius for braiding, and Shaun’s business development skills, the couple launched the highly-successful CuteGirlsHairstyles.com website in late 2008 and the subsequent CuteGirlsHairstyles YouTube channel a year later. While Mindy’s hairstyle tutorials started as a hobby, their family channels have now been viewed more than 1.2 billion times in nearly every country worldwide.

Kamri McKnight

Kamri McKnight is the third of six children, daughter of Mindy from CuteGirlsHairstyles and younger sister to twins BrooklynAndBailey on YouTube. At 13 years of age, Kamri launched her own YouTube Channel, KamriNoel. Focused on sketch comedy, KamriNoel and reached 500,000 subscribers in the first month since its launch June 2016. Excluding her, Kamri has developed 5 characters with humourous personality traits, who often appear in videos.
