Hot! Gallery School Holiday Art at Gallery & Co

By Kristine Ong

To usher in the end of school, Gallery & Co. has lined up two very exciting events featuring Singaporean family art collective is a family of 4; Claire, the 41 year old mom, Renn, the 11 year old son, Aira, the 9 year old daughter and Pann, the 42 year old dad.  The family believe that expression is a form of art and it can manifest in many ways. They mostly function as a whole and will approach every project or collaboration with a fresh direction.

This year, they will be showcasing an art exhibition, WHEN RENNDOM MET AIRANY, a visual experimentation, collaborated upon by Renn and Aira. It is a visual commentary by them on each other’s art pieces, sometimes a continuation of each other’s individual artwork, and will occasionally reflect their random thoughts and ironic interpretations of each other.

The Brother and Sister duo, Renn and Aira, will also be hosting a children’s art workshop – The Peculiar Puppet. The workshop will see the children lovingly crafting their very own handheld puppets, in an intimate and interactive session for kids by kids.  This workshop is suitable for kids aged 6 to 12 years old.

The art show and workshop kick starts Gallery & Co.’s diverse and exciting calendar of events that aims to initiate opportunities for creative exchange and collaborations.

British born but having lived overseas for the past 17 years, my life has seen me saying farewell to the damp grey skies of the UK for a life of nibbling warm baguettes in France and now I’m found enjoying the hot, often sticky but always colourful days of Singapore. Living the happy life with my hubby, our 2 boys, 4 guinea pigs and 2 dogs, when I'm not busy with family and pets I I do enjoy my well deserved ‘me’ time. I love to throw myself into writing and I hope everyone will find my work something of interest, inspiration or just a good read!
