The New Paulaner Brauhaus

Paulaner_Brauhaus_Level1_BarPaulaner Brauhaus is back with a fresh new look!

After a two-months renovation and a complete interior overhaul, Paulaner Brauhaus, Singapore’s first and only authentic German microbrewery, re-opened their doors at Millenia Walk. While the interior spots a chic and modern look, the brewery’s large bronze boiler still takes centre stage at the cosy-lit level one bar.

Apart from the new look, the menu was updated to feature a bigger selection of German specialties. For light bites, choose from Bavarian classics such as Obazda, a savoury cheese spread made with butter and camembert, or Paulaner’s trio of Smoked Salmon with cream cheese, Herring salad and smoked trout that perfectly complements their pretzels.

Paulaner_Brauhaus_Pork_Knuckle

Of course, what would a German brewery be without the famous crispy Pork Knuckles and Pork Schnitzel? Paulaner’s Pork Knuckles are marinated in Bavarian spice blend, brushed with Paulaner beer, and then over-roasted for 2.5 hours to render its characteristic crispy crackling and fork-tender succulent flesh. It is perfect with a cold pint of Paulaner Brauhaus Drunkel Dark Lager.

Don’t miss out on their Pork Schnitzel too! The pork escalope coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and fried in butter till golden. It is also served on a mound of French fries with lemon wedges and ketchup. A good pint of Paulaner’s Weissbier is great to wash that down.

Do save some stomach space for the desserts too. Tuck into the comforting Apple Beignets, a Paulaner Bräuhaus rendition of perfectly-fried apple rings in a wheat beer batter with a sprinkling of cinnamon and sugar. Dip the apple rings into the accompanying vanilla ice cream and vanilla sauce with berry compote for an indulgent treat.

If you’re feeling like a king, go for the Kaiserchmarrn. Also known as ‘Emperor’s Pancakes’, the thick-cut pancakes are caramelised in a pan with butter and sugar, and crowned with red berry compote, apple compote and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Sunday Brunch

Every Sunday, Paulaner Bräuhaus serves up a sumptuous German brunch buffet from 11.30am to 2.30pm.

Diners can expect a myriad of hot and cold stations teeming with sausages, Bavarian meatloaf, pork knuckle, salads and much more. The dessert station also comprises a delightful chocolate fountain, warm apple strudel and an assortment of ice cream to round off the decadent meal.

Sunday Brunch is priced at $58 with soft drinks, $68 with beer and soft drinks, or $78 with wine, beer and soft drinks for adults and $16 for children aged five to eleven. Activities such as colouring or mask making are available for children during the brunch. The list of activities rotates every two months and updates are made via Paulaner Bräuhaus Facebook page.
