The Legendary Shaolin Monks perform at Mastercard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands
Expect a night of flawless fighting skills from the legendary Shaolin Monks in the ultimate show of theatre and traditional martial arts SHAOLIN. Following their critically-acclaimed ‘Wheel of Life’ and ‘Kung Fu Masters’ tours, 20 phenomenal Shaolin martial artists will demonstrate their expertise at the MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands from 13 July 2016.
Hailing from the foothills of the Song Shang mountain range in China’s Henan province, the Shaolin Temple is said to be the birthplace of Kung Fu, is home to some of the best martial arts experts in the world, and provides the inspiration for this show, which takes audiences on an intrepid journey through the mystical history of this ancient tradition of fighting art.
The Shaolin performers are set to make a grand entrance with jaw-dropping moves and techniques. The 20-member cast will perform incredible “superhuman” feats showcasing traditional Shaolin Kung fu in a well choreographed performance with both visual dramatic lighting and audio sound. The Shaolin performers will also demonstrate the beautiful movements of Chi Gong &
Tai Chi with the use of weapons in choreographed combat demonstrations.
The Shaolin performers will also be doing their formidable stunts such as smashing through wooden staves with their bodies, breaking marble slabs and bricks with their heads and even watch them lying on sharpened spears! You would surely be left wondering if the entire cast was actually made up of a bunch of super humans!
