LAST CARD! UNO! NUMERO UNO!
Back from its success in 2013 UNO® Asia challenge which saw a Singapore Champion crowned the Numero UNO® (Number one in Spanish), the annual UNO® Asia challenge is back this year to search for the last one sitting at the table. Join 631 Singaporean semi-finalists aged between 7-15 years old, as they battle it out in a classic UNO® card game to be the Singapore winner to represent Singapore at the UNO® Asia challenge regional finals on 23 November at Jurong Point Shopping Center.
“UNO® is a classic card game that has universal appeal due to its ability to create special and fun bonding moments among families or friends despite its competitive element. Besides encouraging a child’s motor, mathematical and strategic skills, we hope to also encourage enjoyable and healthy competition among children across ages, cultures and borders. As such, we’re pleased to introduce Philippines as a new country participant in the search for Asia’s Numero UNO®” said Ms Petrina Kho, Country Manager, Mattel Southeast Asia Pte Ltd.
The UNO® Asia challenge includes a challenge which will feature a game played by 4 players each time and a simple objective ‐ be the first player to get rid of all cards in a two round challenge (1 Round of UNO card and 1 round of UNO attack) and score points for the cards your opponents are left holding.
Witness the excitement and adrenaline-rush as participants from the region battles it out at the UNO® game to be the Numero UNO®. Countries vying for the coveted honours in the UNO® Asia challenge will be Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Malaysia and India.
While the participants are battling it out, non-participants can have there will be photo opportunities with UNO Morphman the mascot and local Youtube sensation Dr Jiajia, the nine year old will be performing at the finals event with his ukulele. There will also be exclusive UNO® merchandise promotion at the event, perhaps you can get your child to start playing UNO® with you.
