THE BEST YET : CHRISTMAS FESTIVITIES WITH CHRISTMAS TOYLAND AND CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND @ GARDENS BY THE BAY
This year, Gardens by the Bay goes all out to bring the Christmas cheer to Singapore with a truly wonderful Christmas Wonderland, fabulous Christmas Toyland, European-style Christmas Market and many more festivities for all the family.
Take the family indoors and feel the chill of the Flower Dome in the Christmas Toyland as your eyes feast on the festive floral display.
From Saturday, 21st November to Tuesday, 5th January 2016 : 9am to 9pm, visitors to the Flower Dome are in for a truly magical visit to Gardens by the Bay. Venture into the North Pole and explore the magical wonderland where toy soldiers march alongside roaming reindeers, and teddy bears will man the sleigh station – all of this is set amidst yuletide floral favourites like the poinsettia, Christmas rose, winter heather and holly.
Towering over the enchanting floral display is the centrepiece of the Christmas Toyland – an 11-metre-tall Christmas Pyramid decked with toys. The multi-tiered traditional German wooden carousel will transform into a ‘live’ stage, hosting a series of festive performances for the very first time in the Flower field.
Festive performances on selected dates : Saturday 5th December and Sunday 6th December:-
- Be sure to catch the 12 year old soprano Lauren Yeo as she sings Classical Opera in the Flower Dome at 2.30pm to 3.30pm
- The Amper Quartet add an elegant twist to the traditional string quartet catch this in the Flower Dome at 4.15pm to 5pm
- Want to see and enjoy a unique and interactive stand-up comedy magic show – then find Ventriloquist – Sensational Stefano inside the Flower Dome at 6pm to 6.30pm
- Kids and fans of Enid Blyton will enjoy the Storytelling by Players Theatre in the Flower Dome at 3.45pm to 4.15pm and 5.15pm to 5.45pm
NOTE : Admission to Christmas Toyland and performances inside the Flower Dome is based on the usual admission charges applied to the conservatories.
