I consulted Dr. Timothy Shim, the Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon of The Clifford Surgery about the sunken areas on my face.
I had hollowness in my cheeks and chin and the bone structure was not symmetrical – causing my face to be lopsided. Before Doctor Shim could start administering the injections, the Clifford nurse applied numbing cream on my face so that I am able to withstand the needles. The wait was around 30 minutes before I started to feel a tingling sensation – I could feel my face was numb. When he started the Ellansé Collagen Fillers administration, I could fill small pangs of bearable pain at maybe a scale of 1 (on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most painful). I think my fear of needles made me nervous and I tensed up while Doctor Shim was doing his work. Thankfully, the nurse assisting him reminded me to breathe and relax helping me to feel less tense and less pain.
After my Ellansé Collagen Fillers injections, there was completely no downtime and I went home to continue my WFH – work from home. The fillers showed immediate results and I was told it would last for months. My right botoxed jaw however took time to slowly ‘paralyze’ the muscle to a smaller jaw line.
