Superpower Dogs at the Science Centre Theatre
Narrated by the famed actor behind ‘Captain America’, Chris Evans, this immersive adventure allows you to witness the life-saving superpowers and extraordinary bravery of some of the world’s most remarkable dogs.
Screening from 6 November 2020, every Fridays to Sundays at the Omni-Theatre, Superpower Dogs follows the adventure of six working dogs and their human partners as they brave through natural disasters while struggling to protect endangered species such as rhinos and elephants and transforming the lives of people with special needs.
It’s a perfect addition for your list of science activities for kids. Because through this family-friendly film, we will all discover the amazing abilities of dogs and the astonishing science behind it. We’ll bet you’ll never look at your best companions the same way again!
Living Worlds: An Animal Planet Experience Exhibition
From 20 November to 3 January 2021, the Animal Planet travelling exhibition returns for the last time before it heads overseas! With family and friends by your side, discover various astonishing animals through the various immersive exhibits at the Living Worlds: An Animal Planet Experience exhibition.
In collaboration with Discovery Inc., this travelling exhibition is worthy to be counted among your planned family activities in Singapore. It’s the first edu-tainment exhibition that explores the interdependent relationship between animals and the environments they inhabit through different interactive media mediums and never-seen-before footage that narrates the stories of the natural world.
Additionally, the exhibition also leverages the latest technology that is sure to captivate you with its unique immersive experiences and interactive play elements!
Science Activities for Kids: Tinker Fest at the Science Centre Singapore
An event catered for our little monsters, Tinker Fest is a bi-annual programme organised to test your child’s hand-eye coordination with various mind-stimulating science activities for kids in designed by the Science Centre Singapore.
Themed “Flow”, this year’s event explores the various science concepts related to flow and fluidity as a tribute to the adaptability of humanity in the midst of this global pandemic. From gravity to the science behind melting points, join their Science Educators in various complimentary hands-on activities for kids around the Centre.
Infinités Plurielles: Virtual Family Activities in Singapore
Besides on-site science activities for kids, the Science Centre Singapore has also included virtual family activities for those of us who prefer to learn at our own pace in the comfort of our homes. Moderated by Associate Professor Lim Tit Meng, Chief Executive of the Science Centre Board, the Infinités Plurielles digital conference features four prominent women from both Singapore and France who are also STEM warriors in research and the corporate world.
Proving that gender is no barrier in being the best one can be in their field, get inspired by their exemplary success stories of how they overcome sexism and more to reach where they are today. Catch the exhibition at the International French School Singapore (IFS) from 9 to 22 November 2020.
