The winning team from Mercedes AMG Petronas F1TM Group – 2008 F1TM World Champion Lewis Hamilton and 2013 Monaco and Silverstone GP Champion Nico Rosberg were in Singapore to satisfy exciting fans of the team, in an exclusive meet-and-greet session with Mercedes-Benz, at The Great Hall of Millenia Walk.
An ardent fan of Lewis Hamilton and the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1TM Group, eight year-old Alex Kattoulas, had a once-in-a-lifetime chance to share the stage with the champ duo – Rosberg and Hamilton. A Go-kart racer himself, Alex waited for over 6 hours to fulfill his biggest inspiration in motor racing, to present Hamilton with his favored Haribo candies and a picture of his own Go-kart vehicle, made to appear like Hamilton’s 2013 Formula OneTM car, the F1W04.
This year, Nico Rosberg set the team up for a strong season after utilizing his pole position to top the medal podium at the 2013 Monaco GP. Boosted by their victory, the group went on to win two more legs in the period, with Rosberg declaring his 2nd win in a nail-biting British GP, and Lewis Hamilton taking his first for the group at the Hungarian GP to push Mercedes AMG Petronas F1TM Team up to third spot in the 2013 Formula OneTM World Champion.
