DATE FIXED FOR RESCHEDULED U PICNIC : SINGAPORE’S LARGEST FAMILY PICNIC
Following the postponement in October due to unpredictable haze conditions, Singapore’s largest family picnic, U Picnic, has been rescheduled to Saturday, 12 March 2016. To be held at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park River Plains, the event will now be open to an additional 2,000 attendees on top of the existing 6,000.

The U Picnic theme remains as ‘Space Odyssey’, encouraging families to look ahead to a positive future for themselves and their children while enjoying a slew of exciting outer space activities and dazzling performances.
Organised by NTUC U Family with NTUC FairPrice and NTUC FairPrice Foundation as the main sponsors, the U Picnic is U Family’s yearly signature event, a platform curated specially for families to bond and spend quality time together.

Highlights of the event include:
A cosmic LED dance performance and a spectacular stage performance by Singapore’s very own Lady Gaga look-alike.
Adventure-seeking families will get the chance to learn how to ‘moon-walk’ using rebound shoes, launch into the air on bungee trampolines, collect space mission badges and star gaze. Foodies will be delighted to find interesting pop-up food and drinks stations to complement their picnic experience. Fun-seeking families can expect to enjoy an inflatable playground, meet friendly roving space creatures and astronauts and wear colourful removable tattoos to impress.
Families are also encouraged to show off their creative flair at the on-site competitions including the ‘Best Dressed Space Explorers Contest’ and ‘Best Anti-Gravity Photo Contest’. Families with the most imaginative space-themed outfits and the most original and unique anti-gravity photo on-site will stand a chance to win fantastic prizes.
