BETTY CROCKER CELEBRATES SINGAPORE’S BIRTHDAY WITH A MASS BAKE OFF
Betty Crocker is organised an iconic mass bake-off in an attempt to create the world’s largest cupcake mosaic for the SG50 Celebrations on Saturday 1 August 2015. With an aim to celebrate Singapore’s 50th birthday with the community and to foster the Singapore Spirit of caring, sharing and togetherness, the ‘World’s Largest Cupcake Mosaic’ is set to make a new record in the Guinness World Record™ and breaking the 2012 world record set by Ayer Rajah Constituency Youth Group.
Gunning for a new Guinness World Record™, approximately 700 volunteers from all sectors of society including Youth Corps Singapore, Movement for the Intellectually Disabled Singapore (MINDS), Circle of Friends and Food from the Heart helped in this mass bake-off at Betty Crocker ‘World’s Largest Cupcake Mosaic’.
In the spirit of celebrating the Singapore’s Golden Jubilee, the 132 square-metres Betty Crocker ‘World’s Largest Cupcake Mosaic’, measuring was unveiled at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, Atrium Level 3, on August 1, 2015. A total of 30,400 cupcakes using 1,600 Betty Crocker cake mixes were made and 29, 610 cupcakes were used to make the mosaic. After the display, the cupcakes will be delivered to non-profit organisations across Singapore including Sunlove Home, St. Joseph’s Home and Ju Eng Home for Senior Citizens.
