52 WEEK PHOTOGRAPHY CHALLENGE WEEK #1
I have been taking photos of anything and everything and capturing moments anywhere and everywhere for sometime now – I first got this Canon EOS 550D when I volunteered myself to be the ‘official’ photographer for this website BubbaMama.com. MommyMeow, the owner of the website, presented me with the camera and I soon became BubbaMama’s Junior Photographer…yeah!
Of course, like most things, I like to play about and learn as I go along but, my parents thought it would be good for me to get some useful tips, lots of info, as well as constructive feedback from Paul at Noodle Photography (my parents bought me a beginner’s 3 day course with Noodle Photography for my 12th Birthday.
Now, this 52 Week Photography Challenge by @Dale_Dogwoodphotography (Instagram), is going to be a good thing for me to do.
Week 1 is all about getting to know yourself and introducing yourself to the 52 Week Photography Challenge with the task – Portrait – Self Portrait : (as we) Start things off right with a ‘Selfie’! Explore the self-timer setting on your camera.
I’m not really confident at taking ‘selfies’ so this was a task in itself! So I decided to set up the camera – I couldn’t find my tripod because I’m in the middle of moving house with my family – so had to use a book and a placemat to get the right height. I’m always comfortable in front of my Mac and chatting with friends via Skype so had the idea to settle myself right there.
Pretty pleased with the result and happy the ‘selfie’ challenge is complete!
I’m sharing each of the 52 Week Photography Challenge tasks, as well as loads more photos on my Instagram @EdTheTedPics.
Week 2 of the 52 Week Photography Challenge is – Landscape : Traditional – I think this will be a good pic for me to explore my new surroundings in my new home at Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
