With our busy lifestyles as mothers, cooking after we get home from work or after a day of household chores may be the last thing on our minds. To help bring back the spirit of home-cooking and family recipes, Knorr organised the Knorr Family Cookout.
The results were announced at ToTT cooking studio today from five selected pairs. Mother and daughter team, Helen Ang Siew Kim, 55 and Trish Yee Shiow Luan, 25 won the hearts of the judges with a Japanese style Mee Hoon Kuay, a family dish inspired by Trish’s late grandmother, and emerged as the winner of the competition.
“At Knorr, we believe that cooking and eating together as a family is one way to create family moments. With Knorr Family Cookout, we hope to remind and encourage more people to rediscover their family recipes and the stories behind, as well as the joy and simplicity of cooking and family-bonding,” said Miss Susanne Arfelt Rajamand, Marketing Manager of Unilever Singapore.
The winners were decided based on recipe backstory, teamwork, creativity, hygiene, presentation and taste of the dish. The winners of the Knorr Family Cookout won a total of S$18,000 worth of cash and vouchers to revamp their kitchens and will be sharing their family recipes and stories for inspiration on Knorr Singapore Facebook page and selected print, TV and radio platforms.
