We know what you’re thinking: dim sum buffet at a five-star hotel is gonna cost a bomb! Thankfully, not all hotel restaurants charge hefty prices. The new weekday a la carte dim sum buffet at renowned Cantonese restaurant Hai Tien Lo at five-star hotel Pan Pacific Singapore is priced at $48 and offers 20 varieties of mouthwatering dim sum creations by dim sum chef Lee Siaw Cheen. In addition, an extensive selection of soups, signature dishes and desserts make up to a total of 35 items on the buffet—lovely for a gathering of moms and picky-eating little ones (individual group rooms ensure you won’t lose sight of your kids).
Expect to find four new creations on the menu (limited to one serving per guest): deep-fried yam puff with foie gras—a modern take with a subtle hint of creamy foie gras, baked egg tart with imperial swiftlet’s nest and white fungus, steamed Berkshire pork char siew bun (that’s incredibly soft and filled with tasty and tender pork filling) and crispy carrot cake with Hai Tien Lo’s signature XO sauce.
Other unlimited items on the menu that you simply mustn’t miss include the incredibly chewy deep fried bean gluten with minced pork in five spices, wok-seared spinach dumplings, and crispy savory dumplings with minced chicken that appears as a money bag auspiciously stuffed to the brim.
