WHOOPS OF JOY AND FAMILY FUN – IT’S THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

School Holidays are just around the corner. It’s time to get our schedules planned with exciting activities to keep bubba entertained this March.

From fun workshops to museum sleepovers, we have found these exciting activities and programmes on offer for kids and families this March 2014 School holiday.

EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! MASTER INVENTOR WORKSHOP by Clare Victoria Eastwood

WondersWork are calling out to the inventors of the future to come save the world with their creativity and inventive thinking.

As WondersWork nurture our inventors of the future, kids aged 5 & up will build lego robotics and inventions using raw materials to overcome the challenges set in these specially created workshops.

These fun and story-based workshops will give little inventors an experience of hands-on activities where they will learn science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts along with way.

Workshop 1 : 17th – 20th March 2014 (4 days from Mon-Thur)
Sessions 1 to 4 : 12-3pm
Sessions 5 to 8 : 3.30-6.30pm

Workshop 2 : 24th – 27th March 2014 (4 days from Mon-Thur)
Sessions 1 to 4 : 12-3pm
Sessions 5 to 8 : 3.30-6.30pm

For each workshop, there are a total of 8 different sessions/projects, select 2 sessions @ S$220 or 4 session @ $380 (save S$60)

SNOOZE WITH ‘DINOSNORES’ AT ARTSCIENCE MUSEUM by Clare Victoria Eastwood

This March school holidays, busy parents can spend quality time with their children in this first ever sleepover at ArtScience Museum, Singapore.

Children aged 6 to 12 years (and their parents) will enjoy an action-packed night among the amazing exhibits in the ‘Dinosaurs: Dawn to Extinction’ exhibition. As well as the sleep over, participants will get to take part in activities including a movie screening and interactive workshops that engage both parents and children.

IT’S A KIDS’ FESTIVAL AT GARDENS BY THE BAY 

GARDENS BY THE BAY MAGICAL SPRING GARDEN by Clare Victoria Eastwood

Calling all children, families and the young at heart, come and enjoy a fun and wonder-filled March holidays at Gardens by the Bay!

With programmes for children scheduled 10.30 am to 12.30 pm on Saturday 15th March, Tuesday 18th March, Thursday 20th March and Saturday 22nd March, Gardens by the Bay are set to teach the kids everything they need to know about the healthy growth of our plants as they explore the Cloud Dome, Flower Dome or the surrounding gardens.  Children will also enjoy a craft making activity and bring home their self made souvenir.

Each programme is charged at S$18 (excluding admission to the conservatories) (get a re-entry stamp on exiting the conservatories and go back later the same day to enjoy more time in the cooled gardens)

The last weekend of the March School holidays is a time for the Gardens by the Bay Magical Spring Garden.  Families will enjoy fun filled days of performances, craft booths and mascots!

DISCOVER THE WORLD OF CARNIVOROUS PLANTS by Katherine Sng

One of the 4 programs specially lined up for the March School Holidays is ‘Feed Me’. Children will discover how carnivorous plants survive, what they feed and their rather unique taste for insects. The program ends with a craft making activity like making Venus flytrap.

BE AN ‘IT’ GIRL WORKSHOP by Clare Victoria Eastwood

Girls aged 6 years to 10 years will learn to find their style star in this 3-day fun workshop by Ines Ligron.

Young fashionistas will play with different styles of clothing, learn to mix and match outfits to reflect their personality, learn social skills and etiquette, learn how to walk with confidence and learn how to talk intelligently.

There are 3 classes to each workshop, choose from:

Tuesday March 18th, Wednesday March 19th and Friday March 21st 1pm to 4pm or;

Tuesday March 24th, Wednesday March 25th and Thursday March 26th 9.30am to 12.30pm

March into a fun-packed school holiday at the world’s largest aquarium.  Learn more about seahorses and sea dragons with various educational art and craft activities.  Meet S.E.A. mascots who will be emerging from the deep to say hi.  Or, go back in time to ancient Singapore with our 3D game “Back-to-Temasek”.

Activities taking place from 15th March to 30th March at 10am to 7pm daily.

Mascots meet and greet on 15th, 16th, 22nd 23rd March between 12pm and 4pm.

The musical portrays The General in search of precious energy to make his Emperor more powerful, which leads him to Nova who seems to be able to create The Light for the energy.  He tries to control her but is forced to choose between his loyalty to his Emperor and a better world within the light.

THEME SUNDAY FAMILY BRUNCH AT PREGO WESTIN NUSA DUA BALI by Patricea Chow
