LITTLE CASTLE FOR YOUR PRINCES AND PRINCESSES AT STAR VISTA’S DISTRICT 10
Star Vista has become a mecca for entertainment, food and shopping, away for the hustle and bustle of Orchard Road. Located within this architectural icon in Buona Vista, is District 10 Bar Tapas Restaurant, known for a great place for food for the savvy, young professionals (and parents, too!).
On Sundays, this restaurant is transformed into a heaven for parents and kids – complete with a full-sized bouncy castle with fun and games!
Do try the District 10 Eggs Benedict ($16) – the eggs are poached to perfection and then laid on toasted muffin with sautéed spinach, smoked salmon and the evergreen Hollandaise sauce.
While you distract your little ones with crayons and color pencils, Mom and Dad can enjoy their Spanish Omelette ($14), prepared by scrambling eggs with bell peppers, mushroom and chorizo (Spanish sausages made with pork and paprika). If you prefer something without meat, you can plump for creamy scrambled eggs with toasted muffin, oriental mushrooms and spring onion.
Feed the Italian in you by trying the simple but flavourful Pizza Margherita ($19). Its ingredients do not need further introduction and this pizza is as healthy as it looks – antioxidants and vitamin C in tomatoes, relatively low GI mozzarella cheese and non-oily thin-crusted pizza base.
And once you have let your Princes and Princesses have a few nibbles of your sumptuous dessert of Pandan-Coconut Pancake ($9) with District 10’s own concoction of Gula Melaka syrup, you can set them free to play in the full-sized bouncy castle!
Now, this is a good time to enjoy a cuppa at ease, over a short but precious quality time with your other half, with one eye on your kids at play! District 10’s brunch offerings are delectably tasty, reasonably priced and most of all, thoughtful!
So, scoot over to District 10 at Star Vista this coming Sunday – peruse their brunch menu and yummy kid’s menu. Oh yeah, tell your kids there’s a bouncy castle and they will not contest your decision.
