Mummies, there’s a new place in town to get clothes, accessories, shoes and much more for your minis and yourself – more than 50 brands with products for both mums and babes are available at the newest outlet of The Playfair.

It may be easier to think of it similar to now popular multi-label store Naiise. The concept and premise is more or less similar, although for The Playfair, all the items available in their shop are from local brands and shops, and are made specifically for mums and their little ones. Most of the brands that are stocked are only available online, or they don’t have a physical location of their own. So if you are the type who much prefers being able to try and feel the items before you make your purchases, you now can at The Playfair.

The owners Zhiyong and Shimin were motivated to set up The Playfair as a place to showcase the shoes from their online shoe store Schocs ‘N’ Schues and other local children brands. Their first store at Marina Square had a good six month run and that was the impetus for them to open the second iteration of their store that is now housed in Suntec City Tower 4. There is more than twice as much retail space, with more brands than ever, with a few useful new features that parents will appreciate.

There are now dressing rooms so that you can ensure that the fit and the size of clothings are what you are looking for before you make a purchase. This new feature was one that mums were most appreciative of as they need not worry that the clothing that they buy are the wrong size any longer and go through the hassle of getting a refund or a size exchange.

The other new addition is this play/workshop corner. Simple activities are available for little ones to keep busy to let mums shop with a peace of mind. The Playfair also invites external vendors to conduct fun workshops: they have a DIY ukelele and finger knitting workshop coming up. (click here for more information).

One thing that is certain is that you’ll be spoilt for choice here at The Playfair with the many brands stocked. These include an assortment of well-loved brands amongst local mummies such as:
• Leia + Lauren
• Ksisters
• Hunter + Boo (ethically made clothing for the win!)
• Elizabeth Little
and many more!

Check it out for yourself; we promise that you won’t be disappointed, and neither will you walk away empty handed.
