THE KIDZ ACADEMY 2014 PRESENTED BY S-26®
Kidz Academy is back this year side by side the Good Food Great Living fair. One-stop destination for families to spend time together, not just to educate their kids but also look into living well.
Activities to entertain the kids at the fair include a Disney’s latest hit Movie ‘Frozen’ activity area specially dedicated to ‘Frozen’ fans. The Frozen activity area will feature free activities such as making your own Olaf Pencil Holder, recreating a mini Olaf model as well as photo opportunities with life-size models of Frozen characters Elsa, Anna and Olaf.
Popular cartoon characters Bob the Builder, Angelina Ballerina and Fireman Sam will also be making special appearances at The Kidz Academy main stage area. Visitors can get a chance to meet their favourite cartoon characters on stage daily at three different time slots for photo opportunities.
There will be fun rides, carnival games and bouncy castles to keep the little ones occupied and having fun. The Kidz Academy will also be offering for the first time Piñata sessions to children at the Party Hut booth daily at 12pm and 4pm, where they stand to win special treats and prizes.
Workshops will be available for parents and children offered by the various education and enrichment providers. Topics that will be covered include “Excelling in Composition Writing” by Creative Campus, “Learn to play the Ukulele in 5 mins” by Ossia Music School, “Kids Yoga Trial Class” by OhmSantih Yoga and more
Parents can attend a wide range of parenting and educational talks on Saturday 7 June. Miss Polene Lam, Founder and Director of Gifted Learners Student Care Centre, will conduct a 90-minute workshop titled “Raising your child holistically – The MI Way!”, drawing on her expertise in the “Multiple Intelligences (MI)” theory developed by the renowned Dr Howard Gardner. This talk is proudly presented by S-26® and participants can look forward to a S-26® goodie bag at the end of the session.
There are a total of 1,500 goodie bags worth more than $40 each that will be given out during the three-day event. Items in the bag include
- Wei-B freeze dried strawberry packs
- pencil sets
- a three-month digital subscription of Young Parents
- Quaker’s Oats for Rice pack worth $5.35
- PastaMania’s Kid’s Meal voucher worth $8.80 and more.
To receive the goodie bag, visitors will have to pre-register and be one of the first 500 pre-registered visitors on-site. There will be free Swensen’s ice-cream and visitors can also look forward to the bi-hourly lucky draws at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm daily where they stand a chance to win great prizes like toy hampers and more.
