For mothers like us, Roberta Pieri’s “second bag” is a Godsend, the bag allows us to carry extra items – our lunch boxes, make up pouch, bubba’s coloring book & pencils, extra clothes etc – that usually do not fit into our first bag. The “second bag” is usually lightweight, durable and easy to carry around to withstand the extra bulky items we lug around, it has been a trend for ladies (not just mothers) for many years and the “second bags” are usually made out of low quality and poor materials because they carry bulky items.
Realizing a potential market for an Italian high quality version of the “second bag”, two Italian brothers, Maurizio Nottoli (CEO and Designer) and Claudio Nottoli (Sales Manager) decided to set up Roberta Pieri in 2007 with the mission to create high quality Italian made “second bags”. After all the Italians are famous for their good craftsmanship in bags.
The Roberta Pieri’s version of the “second bag”, also known as the Robertina is made using only good quality materials and fine Italian craftsmanship with its “Elegance in Simplicity” concept. With the same Roberta Pieri concept of “Elegance in Simplicity”, the Robertina collection has seen many extensions since 2007.
The Robertina Tatami collection ($249 – $269) is inspired by Japanese origami spotting geometric patterns. Chic and sophisticated, the Tatami Robertina has long and short handles options for ladies who like to carry their bags to their own liking.
