At the PREVIEW opening last Friday, I felt like I had died and gone to Hipster Heaven. Located in Cineleisure just off Orchard Road, PREVIEW is joined to The Editor’s Market on the third floor of the building. The 1000+ sq ft store layout is clean cut industrial (think brightly lit and exposed piping) with a sprinkling of vintage thrown in for good measure.
Moreover, PREVIEW is packed to the rafters with exciting brands. Among which are – 5 Preview, Unif, Wildfox, Jeffrey Campbell, Deandri, Minkpink (which you may remember from the WYLD Agencies x Blackmarket No.2 collaboration in May!) and many more.
Among the big hitting brands are Cheap Monday, the funky Swedish fashion line now synonymous with skinny jeans – PREVIEW stocks a full range from the accessories right down to the footwear.
As cool as Cheap Monday is, the belle of the PREVIEW ball had to be American Apparel. Though American Apparel had hit the shores of Singapore some time ago, this is the very first time you’ll be able to find a comprehensive range of their products for both men and women in one location. Stocking favourites such as their Disco Pants (yes, they really are as cool as they sound), we are also treated to their signature high-waisted cuff shorts, chiffon shirts, accessories and footwear.
A little known fact about American Apparel is that almost all of their products are produced in their factory building in Downtown LA! This allows them to have a “Sweatshop-Free” policy as part of their business model…hip hooray for ethical brands!
If you’re thirsty for fashion forward basics that make you stand out from the crowd, PREVIEW may just be your oasis.
