NOW YOU CAN ORDER CHEESECAKES ONLINE FROM CAT AND THE FIDDLE
Cheesecakes. “What’s the difference?” one may question with reckless abandon. Here, Daniel Tay answers with a string of 12 gorgeous and exquisite tasting Cat and the Fiddle cheesecakes, adding a simple twist to each that differentiates it from the other.
For a taste of the tropics, Russian whiskers ($28.90) is a sweet and creamy mousse of mango infused cheese cradling a soft sponge cake center with fresh mango cubes, lined with white chocolate curls on the side, while Caribbean Surfari ($28.90) takes one away on an island holiday with coconut cream cheese, a hint of rum, and juicy pineapple chunks—piña colada, anyone?
Sweetooths will enjoy the rich and creamy Queen of Hearts ($24.90) backed with a crunchy golden biscuit crust and finished with a thick layer of sugary sweet strawberjam.
Beautifully balanced is the toffee-like Sweet and Smokey Taffy ($21.90), a sweet-salty salted caramel cheesecake with a crunchy Oreo crust.
We’re a little ambivalent about The Modern Duke’s Pudding ($24.90)—its dark chocolate and Oreo cookie base a tad too sweet; cream cheese too rich and cloying for our liking.
For those who prefer something light, The Emperor’s Romance ($30.90) and Maneki Nero ($30.90) make ideal companions. The former is a lychee martini cheesecake that romances with ethereally light cream cheese and subtle hints of lychee, while the latter showcases a duo layer of lime cream cheese and lemon cream cheese, balanced out with a tart and tangy layer of mandarin orange and yuzu jam.
