You cannot afford the time to get your weekly facial at the beauty salon because of a busy work-home schedule. Otherwise, the thought of Bubba being a huge distraction at the premises stops you from going.

Why not try the Lumi-Oxy LED Therapy in the comfort of your home, when you have the time?

It is an electrical handheld device that claims to help refine, rejuvenate and renew your skin. How it aims to do that is to address skin concerns of pores, pimples, pigmentation and wrinkles through light-emitting diode (LED) therapy — random fact: LED was developed by NASA! — and ozone therapy.

Most ladies would have tried LED therapy at least once at the beauty salon, for body hair removal or skin pigmentation treatments. The Lumi-Oxy combines blue and red LED function specifically for stimulating skin cells to encourage the production of collagen and elastin. This in turn will aid in reducing age lines and wrinkles, minimise scarring from acne and reduce pore size.

Adding on to this anti-ageing function is the Lumi-Oxy’s ozone therapy function, which reportedly assists to ‘even out skin tone naturally over time, akin to many whitening products or lightening treatments’.

The active ingredient here is ozone (O3). It is created by supercharging oxygen (O) and superoxide (O2) atoms in the atmosphere, with a high-energy electrical discharge create by the Lumi-Oxy. What does ozone do? According to the manufacturer, ozone ‘sterilises and purifies skin upon contact and can provide anodyne, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effects’.

It is recommended to use the Lumi-Oxy no more than 3 minutes on each problem area, twice daily. The package comes with detailed instructions on how to circle the device across your forehead, down your nose, around your cheeks and neck, and also to zap away acne and pimples.

The Lumi-Oxy takes away all the fuss of having to schedule an appointment for a beauty treatment, giving you the freedom and ease of enjoying the treatment at home. It’s time to say goodbye to skin that feels like crumpled paper, is prone to breakout and has a dull texture.
