Best of Affordable Buffets: Element on Tras Street

There’s a new Element (of mischief) on Tras Street. Newly renovated, Element on Tras Street is an extension of Element at Amara Singapore that’s fun and convivial, with live DJ music livening up the place from 6pm (Mondays to Saturdays)—a great way to keep the little ones entertained. Better yet is the social dining experience: apart from the buffet, a la carte dishes from Amara Singapore restaurants can also be ordered from the menu—a perfect solution for family dinners.

An extensive selection of fresh seafood, charcuterie, carved meats, desserts, as well as Asian, Japanese and even Spanish delicacies (thanks to Chef Mikel Badiola from Spain) awaits one at the international buffet line.

Priced at $45 for lunch and $55 for dinner, we daresay this is one of the most value-for-money international buffets in Singapore—the array of fresh seafood (we’re talking oysters so fresh no lemon or Tabasco is required) alone is reason enough to return.

On the a la carte menu shines regional Basque specialties menu such as tortilla de patata (Spanish omelet with crunchy potato and onion; $10). Portions are generous enough for sharing with the kids, and the fact that it wasn’t too oily resulted in additional brownie points in our book. There’s also a cold tomato soup ($9) that’s a good way to get the kids to eat healthy. If you’re in the mood for something sweet (yet healthy), we recommend the honey jelly yogurt with walnut cream ($9) — sweet and creamy without the guilt.
