An excursion to the Jurong Bird Park today brought back many childhood memories, moments I never really treasured til Bubba came- now I treasure his every moment with me. Today, I revisit the park as a mother bringing Bubba to explore the park. The Jurong Bird Park is Asia’s largest bird paradise and is home to 5, 000 birds. We started the excusion with a tour of the park on the tram.
The Jurong Bird Park is definitely not as crowded as the Zoo and is much smaller too- great for walking with Bubba. It is a good venue for a short excursion in this smothering tropic heat we have here in Singapore.
Looking at the defunct monorail structure, I had flashbacks riding it. I remembered that it was really fun and interesting looking at the birds from the top, I wish more works could be done for this park and the monorail is still working so Bubba would have a variety of views of the birds at different levels.
Over the years, the Jurong Bird Park has added a mini water park for children to dip in to cool off after walking in the heat- Bubba had a lot of fun with water *as usual*.
Bubba enjoyed himself today- not too bad for such a hot day at the park. It would be great if the weather can be more forgiving, it would be more enjoyable if the it isn’t that hot and humid. Fingers crossed for the next excursion!!!
