My kids are 6 and 4, and they are in love with the Legoland Hotel.
Here, they have a playground in the form of a bunk bed, a box of Lego and a TV right in front of their bed. This is probably what heaven looks like to them.
As I am typing, the Lego pieces are spread around their room and they are hanging out on the top bunk of the bed, watching TV. A life they will miss when they reach home. The room is cleverly separated into parents’ zone and kids’ zone. So while they mess up the room, I could chill in my own room happily. With my own TV. The only downside to this is that there is only one kids channel–Disney–and it didn’t keep them company for long. But Legoland is just right outside the hotel so I guess it’s time to hit the park.
Legoland Hotel may have been built in 2012, but it’s well maintained and it is still a giant playground for the kids and even some adults. Right in the lobby, two giant Lego pits with a castle and pirate ship all made of Lego. That alone can occupy my kids for a long time.
I’ll give you four more reasons why my kids love this theme hotel:
1) The Lift is Basically a Disc
“Everything is awesome. Everything is cool when you’re part of a team…”
If you’re a Lego Movie fan, you’ll be familiar with this song. If your kids are Lego Movie fans, this song is probably stuck inside your head. Step into the lift at the hotel and you’ll be greeted by upbeat music completed with disco lights.
2) They have their own kid’s size dental kits, bathrobe and room slippers
There’s even a sink that’s at their height. AND, they provide 3-in-1 Milo together with the array of coffee and tea. Details like this really makes everything awesome.
3) The treasure box
The older bubba literally rushed into the room to look for that sheet of paper that contains all the clues that’ll unlock the treasure chest. Look at his happy face when he got the combination right all by himself.
4) The pool
One thing that I really like was that Legoland provides life jackets for the children. And they come in two different sizes, which fitted my two kids just right. Because of the life jackets, they can both join me in the deep pool. Bravo!
The thing my kids really like was the foam Lego bricks. My son gathered a few and built a kind of super submarine that cannot sink. Well done boy. The downside, however, was that the pools are a little small for a hotel that size. But they have a waterpark right next to the hotel so…well.
