GOOD OLD COMFORT FOOD IN A CHILL AND EASY ENVIRONMENT
We simply have to share with you our recent find that is THE perfect spot for ‘Mummy & Daddy Date Nights’.
ROOSEVELT’S DINER & BAR is tucked away in the trendy F&B enclave off Tanjong Pagar. This all day Diner & Bar serves up good old comfort food in a chill and easy environment.
With an ‘all day dining menu’ offering original dishes that reflect their American Diner influence, you will find, for example, the classic all-day American breakfast as well as specially crafted urban chic sandwiches.
Roosevelt’s also serves up a delectable ‘after-6pm dinner menu’, where diners enjoy a great choice of main course options including some signature dishes like Teddy’s 100% Beef Burger, Beer-Battered Fish & Chips and Smoked Ham Candied Bacon Sandwich.
Our writer, Clare headed out to Roosevelt’s with her hubby for the perfect relaxing after work date night!

What did Roosevelt’s serve up?
Deciding to put Roosevelt’s promise of good old comfort food to the test, Clare and hubby ordered the Southern Fried Chicken served with triple mash as well as the Candied Bacon Beef Burger with pickled vegetable.
The chicken in the Southern Fried Chicken is incredibly succulent and tender, with the coating fried and crisped to perfection. The triple mash is a refreshing change from boring old mashed potatoes, the triple mash blends potato with sweet potato and pumpkin…”very tasty indeed!”
Our Burger was good too, although the brioche bun was perhaps a little ‘sweet’ for our tastes, the candied bacon and pickled vegetable do make for an awesome combination!
We shared a couple of sweet treats too.
Apple Forrest Berries Crumble this is served warm, packed full of apples and red fruits with a perfect hint of cinnamon, the generous scoop of vanilla ice cream makes it a true comfort food dessert. As a total indulgence, we sipped on Oreos and Cream Milkshake, simple “DIVINE”!
There’s certainly no shortage on choice for beverages either, when a drinks list includes more than 70 different bottles from 34 different wine regions, it really is rude not to try a glass! We opted for a simple house pour of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, fresh and crisp, paired well with our food choice but would be equally refreshing as an aperitif.
