Review: Shihlin’s Launch of a New Snack!


Being known as Singapore’s pioneer in serving Taiwanese street snacks, Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks celebrate its 10th Anniversary with the introduction of a new street snack, Crispy Salt Pepper Mushrooms. Plus, there will be giveaways (FREE FOOD), instant wins and promotions to thank their fans.

Launched on 1st November, the Crispy Salt Pepper Mushroom ($3.20) is a generous portion of Enokitake mushrooms lovingly coated in a surprisingly thin batter to give you the crunchiest, crispiest golden goodness. Choose from five flavours: Original, Kimchi, Seaweed, Sour Cream and Wasabi. If you’re having trouble introducing this allergy and viral infection-fighting mushrooms to Bubba, this is the way to go.



One of Shihlin’s favourites (and my personal favourite) now. The “upsized” Sweet Plum Potato Fries ($2.80) has undergone a makeover with an improved recipe. Thick chunky of golden fingers are coated in light batter, dusted with plum powder, the enhanced version is so incredibly crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside. A perfect treat for Mamas!

Time for some rewards for us fans. From 1st Novemeber – 31st December 2013, customers will receive a 10th Anniversary collectible card, with a minimum S$5.00 purchase of any Shihlin’s yummy treats, There will be 10 cards launched over 8 weeks, each with a different design, depicting a significant milestone of Shihlin over the past decade.
