Shea Butter : Revitalise Dry, Dull or Damaged Hair

When hair is damaged it quickly becomes dry, dull and can even begin to fall. When your regular shampoo, conditioner and moisturising mask is simply not enough, we look for another way to revitalise our hair.

Shea Butter comes from the same family tree as Argan Oil and has real healing properties. With vitamins A and E, Shea Butter is an excellent moisturiser for hair from roots to tips and can give benefits like reduced breakage, added strength and suppleness and give back shine to dull hair.

Of course, not all Shea Butter is the same – During the process of refinement, Shea Butter turns paler, chemicals get left behind and much of the beneficial properties are lost. In knowing this, Shea retails only grade ‘A’ Unrefined Shea Butter that is made by hand by small communities over open fires in Ghana, Africa. This is why Shea Unrefined Shea Butter is one of the purest available on the market today.

We recently put Shea Unrefined Shea Butter to the test. With chemical treatments, sun damage and even washing too often, our hair is stripped of it’s natural protective oils and is often dull and in need of a good moisturizing mask. We applied Shea Unrefined Shea Butter to dry, unwashed hair, and left it on over night. After washing, the following morning, styling and drying as normal, our hair was softer and felt much less dry. Our continued application sees our hair revitalized and we gain a natural shine.

The Shea Butter is a thick and firm texture, apply an appropriate amount to your palm and rub to warm and soften, this makes for a an easy and even application.

Shea Unrefined Shea Buter is the go-to natural moisturizer. Available at Shea outlets, Shea Unrefined Shea Butter (40ml) retails at S$18.

  1. Thank you for taking the time to review our Shea Butter Clare. We have had a lot feedback on how our Shea Butter has helped give relief to those suffering from eczema too. Our Shea Butter does not leave a waxy oily film on the skin and it does not block pores.
