From life hacks in the home to revolutionary advance in technology, Changemakers are in the making everyday!  This July, be inspired to become the next Chaangemaker at Singapore Science Festival 2015.

Whether a budding engineer, experienced botanist or a newbie wanting to learn about science that is all around us, the Singapore Science Festival 2015 is sure to enthral your senses!

Here are some the highlights at this year’s Singapore Science Festival 2015 :

X-periment @ Vivocity Central Court, Level 1 : 10th to 12th July 2015

11am to 8pm (10th and 11th July); 11am to 7pm (12th July)

Catch special guest – America’s beloved Science teacher, author, maker and presenter – Science Bob live in action and be enthralled as he demonstrates his popular Film Canister Rocket, Elephant’s Toothpaste and Liquid Nitrogen Cloud experiments! Suitable for all ages.  FREE EVENT

Sidewalk Astronomy @ Vivocity Skypark, Level 3 : 10th July 2015 : 8pm to 10pm

Here’s your chance to get a closer look at constellations and planets in the night sky.  Experience the wonder of astronomy as you gaze at the enchanting galaxy from Vivocity Skypark where you’ll be greeted by thousands of twinkling stars.  FREE EVENT

Science Buskers Festival @ Vivocity East and West Boulevard Atrium, Level 1 : 11th – 12th July 2015

11:30am to 6pm (11th July); 11:30am to 7:30pm (12th July)

See this rare opportunity as science enthusiasts aged 7 to 70 years from all walks of life convene to show off their ability to communicate and express science in fun and creative manners.  Witness spectacular and creative performances and tricks that you can also learn to do.  FREE EVENT

Maker Faire 2014

Maker Faire Singapore @ 15 Tampines Street 11 : 11th – 12th July 2015

Help the underprivileged and start making a change to the environment by joining other Changemakers in making an impact on the community and the world around us!  There is something for everyone at this festival of discovery, play and creativity!  FREE EVENT

Animals in the Pink @ Singapore Zoo : 18th July 2015 : 10am to 11.30am

Experience a behind-the-scenes tour by the Wildlife Reserve Singapore, become a Changemaker as you learn about caring for over 16,000 animals at the Zoo and keeping the animals in the pink of health!  See a vet in action at the world-class animal hospital at the Wildlife Healthcare & Research Centre, as well as getting a chance to step into the Central Kitchen and see chefs prepare nutritional meals for the animals.  Pricing; adult $43, child $32; Zoo membership card holder $11.  Registration necessary; please email [email protected] registration closes on 13th July 2015.

Brain Fest @ Science Centre : 20th – 26th July 2015 : 10am to 6pm

A virus was stolen and modified, turning people into zombies!  Luckily, Professor X left clues to find the vaccine.  It’s now your mission to uncover his secrets and save the world!  Enjoy this exciting, challenging and educational mass escape game that will put your observation, communication and problem-solving skills to the test.  Discover the power of the mind as you solve puzzles revolving around the human brain – the most complex organ in your body – and learn how it works.  Science Centre admission charges apply.

Aquarist for a Day

Aquarist for a Day @ S.E.A. Aquarium, Resorts World Sentosa : 25th July 2015 : 10am to 4pm

Discover the secrets of caring for marine animals such as manta rays, moray eels and sea jellies.  This is a great opportunity to experience first-hand the various aspects of animal healthcare, food preparation, tank cleaning and feeding of the animals as you spend a day with professional Aquarists.  Suitable for ages 12 years and up.  Registration necessary, please call 6577 8899 or email [email protected]
