Very little is more attractive than a guy suited and booted up to the nines…right ladies? So it’s no wonder that Chinatown Point was abuzz on a monday night with the opening of Suit Select’s third sleek store in Singapore. Suit Select, the number one suit store hailing from trendy Japan, showcased it’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection full of tailored cuts, cute bowties and streamlined shoes. There was an array of beautifully tailored suits on display, modelled by some equally sexy men…just ask the screaming troop of fans who flew all the way from Thailand just to have a glimpse of their heartthrobs Thailand’s Prince of Dance Hunz, MTV VJ Utt and Thailand’s boy band The Sign !
It seems that ‘Gravy’ (a mish mash of navy-blue grey) is the new black for the Spring / Summer 2013 season, titled ‘Azzuro al Grigio’, which literally translates to ‘from blue to grey’. However, these aren’t your ordinary run-of-the-mill suits… they look like something straight out of James Bond’s closet and they are innovative too.
For instance – the Shower Clean Technology suits mean NO MORE TRIPs to the drycleaners…this suit can be hosed down in the shower, left to drip dry and voila! Good as gold. Another innovation is the ICESENSE slim-fit suit in fine Italian wool that promises to keep you up to 25% cooler than a regular suit…perfect on those hot and heavy Singapore afternoons!
Fear not if you’re a traditionalist, Suit Select will please you too. The Silver Line caters to the man who wants to have that classic elegance alla George Clooney…only this time it’s tailored to fit the Asian silhouette, yay!
