HOW WOULD KATE MOSS WEAR HER TOPSHOP SS14 COLLECTION?
This highly-anticipated collection, designed by one of the world’s most recognized supermodels and fashion icons, hit Singapore recently and WOW we are loving it!
It is said that Kate Moss has brought her experience of working with many couture designers into this latest TOPSHOP collection. Her inspirations from the fashion world, her love for summer and the music festivals as well as her personal style are what’s in her latest offerings to TOPSHOP.
With so many gorgeous pieces and the fact that we want them all, its perhaps a good idea to get some fashion advice from the designer herself. So here’s a brief look into the Kate Moss TOPSHOP SS14 collection and how Kate would personally wear her designs.
What are your favourite pieces from the SS2014 collection, and why?
KM : So many, but I like the embroidered kaftan because it is a copy of a vintage find that I wear every summer; the blue leather fringe jacket that is based on the one I have worn to three Rolling Stones concerts (it’s my gig jacket); the white lace maxi dress because of the work that has gone into making it.
Is everything that you designed something you would wear?
KM : I would totally wear everything in the collection – they are all pieces inspired from my own wardrobe.
How would you wear and pair the pieces from the collection…?
KM : The tan, fringed jacket… I’d put it with a jean short and a vest.
KM : The silver, metallic maxi-dress… Maxis are good for summer, wear them with flats. I always think heels on an Island are not good.
KM : The embroidered white kaftan… I’d style this with jewellery, like some big gold earrings and wear a swimsuit underneath.
