“We are Flowers” for SS2014 Collection at Melissa

Brazilian shoe brand Melissa is famous worldwide for their gorgeous, funky and comfortable “jelly” shoes. Forget about autumn winter, Melissa welcomes Spring Summer 2014 with a collection that pays tribute to floral themes with vibrant colourful mixture, intricate feminine design details and botanical inspirations.

Melissa has once again teamed up with Taiwan-born American designer Jason Wu for the upcoming Spring Summer 2014; presenting four exclusive styles:

  • Melissa Harmonic + Jason Wu – a sandal harmonising different colours with dragonfly inspired rhinestones
  • Melissa Jean III + Jason Wu – this style has been one of Melissa’s top best sellers and is Jason’s classic design for Melissa. This season, Jason plays around with textures allowing the cut-out ribbon like design to project a more contemporary and elegant feel with a sense of airy brightness
  • Melissa Ultragirl + Jason Wu – this pre-existing bestseller will now feature a fabric ribbon and metal gilt in place of Jason’s signature “Miss Wu” (the owl emblem)
  • Melissa Trippy + Jason Wu – this is a romantic yet trendy and easy to wear flat style design with butterfly-shaped rhinestones

The bubbas are not left out in this new Spring Summer 2014 collection too! Mummies can now buy super adorable mini Melissa shoes for their beloved little ones too! Showcasing sweet bows, cute fruits, chocolate bar motifs and whimsical animals such as cows and Minnie mouse; this SS2014 Kids Collection is undeniably adorable and perfect for the Mini Melissa fans and fashionista bubbas.

We were invited for the exclusive media preview of the Melissa SS2014 collection. The preview was hosted by Claire Louise Jedrek and graced by Singapore top supermodel and actress Sheila Sim, MTV VJ Hanli Hoefer and Lush 99.5 DJ Choy Wan. The preview debuted alongside art collaboration installations from three local creative talents.

Melissa shoes are available at Mdreams boutique located at #B2-03 Wheelock Place.

That is a very gorgeous design! The black one. I have a pair of Campana and MelissaxJ Maskery. Got them ages ago, when Melissa's starting prices were just S$30. Hehehe….
