naturopathy_blackmoresNaturopathy is something new to me and my bubba and I am keen to try as I’ve always believed in improving our healths by nourishing our body through essential nutrients.

Like the plants and trees, our body need to be nourished by the earth (nutrients in the soil), we are nourished by the food we eat which pass on the nutrients from the earth to us – bridging the gap where nutrients are passed on to us. Hence I made an appointment for bubba and I to meet with a Naturopath Health Consultant when the opportunity was presented by Blackmores® last weekend.

Our first appointment with Blackmores® Naturopath Health Consultant, Ms Chua Kay Tse – a qualified Naturopath, Health Educator, Nutritionist and Iridologist – was at in a corner office at Watsons Raffles City. I expected Bubba to leave me in the office and run out to play – he is very active and needs some play to keep him in a place for long – but he stayed throughout the 2 hour session until the end of his session. I must say Ms Chua is very good with kids and she nurtured and taught Bubba about eating well.

Read about my experience HERE.

Bubba’s Naturopath session was quick and Ms Chua managed to scan and analyse his iris to recommend a treatment plan – dietary, lifestyle and supplements recommendations. She advised me to make some small changes for Bubba’s diet – who is still drinking milk –  switching from cow’s milk to almond milk and soft boil eggs for his daily breakfast. Bubba’s diet will look like this:

  • snacks: almond, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and nuts (with the exclusion of peanuts);
  • vegetable (thankfully for us, these are the vegetables he likes): broccoli, carrots and dark greens;
  • fruits: berries, papaya and organic apple;
  • herb tea before bedtime: chamomile tea (calming) or lemon balm (digestive);
  • supplements:
blackmores_kids_supplment
supplements: Blackmores® Fruity Fishes (DHA), Blackmores® Kids Multi Vitamins, Blackmores® Kids Immunities and Blackmores® Kids Probiotic Powder.

As an advocator of healthy living, I would recommend my mummy friends to make a appointment for Blackmores® Naturopathy Consultation to improve their well-being the holistic way.

Consultation Fee: S$100 (fully redeemable for Blackmores® products).

Consultation Time: 45 minute to 1 hour per session.

    I have actually not tried naturopathy but most of the time home remedies with kids. Good to know about the benefits.

    Naturopathy is great for better health. My mom is a fan of it and regularly takes its remedies. Good that you started. Finding it good too?

    Naturopathy looks very interesting, I would want my kid’s diet to look like that too. Eldest struggling to get good nuts into his diet, twins struggling with greens. How old can kids take the herbal tea, would like to try that!

      Best is to make an appointment and have a consultation if the tea is suitable.

    It’s important to start them on a healthy diet young. so bubba is very lucky for a mommy like you to look out for him. We have not tried naturopathy but will definitely be more open to it after your post. Thanks for sharing.

    Interesting diet plan for your bubba. The nuts and seeds as snacks is a great idea. Just curious, why no peanuts?

      If I am not wrong it’s also because nuts can cause allergy and it’s trans fat (can’t remember clearly)

    I’ve heard so much about Blackmores but have yet to try any of their products. Will look into it the next time I visit a health and wellness store.
