Mt. Sapola started producing handmade soaps in 1997. Today, this brand is a household name known for producing high quality Spa and Home Spa products, complete from head to toe. The name Mt. Sapola is derived from the name of the mountain where natural soap was first discovered by the ancient Romans.

With its success on producing all natural spa products, Mt Sapola recently launched a unique skincare range called Xetract (pronounced ex-tract). This skincare range allows customers to customize their skin care from a comprehensive panel of active extracts. Often, the correct usage of just one ingredient is all that is needed to supercharge your skincare regime and rejuvenate one’s skin back to radiant health. This debut Mt. Sapola skincare range offers 18 specific supplements ranging from Vitamins A, B5 and C to apple stem cells, cucumber, yeast and snail extracts. Customers will definitely be able to find a skin supplement that suits their skintype or can help target their specific skin concerns.

We tried out 3 of the supplements available from the Mt Sapola range; namely Alpine Rose Stem Cell Extract, Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) extract and Saccharomyes Ferment Filtrate. Here’s our take about the products:

  • Each concentrate is packaged in a tiny bottle, its definitely perfect for travelling or just simply to put it in the handbag. We liked that packaging is portable and very convenient. We are also very impressed that these extracts are all bottled and made in Singapore. Being Singaporean we are extremely proud of our homegrown products and definitely will support the brand.
  • The 3 extracts we tried feels and smells very wholesome and natural. The skin absorbed all the supplements very easily and we believe that a product is effective when the skin absorb it quickly. The skin does not feel sticky at all which maybe uncomfortable in our humid weather.
  • Alpine rose stem cell extract– this extract is our favourite amongst the 3 products. The fragrant scent of roses is very invigorating upon each application. The skin feels soft and dewy and it helped the skin to absorb the moisturizer better when applied before a moisturiser.
  • Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) extract– we did some research on EGF before trying this product and used this product diligently day and night for 5 days. The visible fine lines on the forehead became lighter and less obvious after using this extract.
  • Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate Extract– this extract has whitening properties and lightened the pigmentation on both cheekbones area. We were advised to apply this extract locally on problem areas with pigmentation around the neck and face. There was no obvious lightening of the pigmentation but overall neck and face colour looked more even and felt more smooth.

The complete Xetract range is now available at all Mt. Sapola boutiques island-wide. Visit mountsapola.com for more information and store locations.
