BLUEPRINT 2014 MARKS ITS FIFTH YEAR MILESTONE WITH STRONGER BRANDS AND NEW CATEGORY OF CHILDREN’S WEAR
This year sees BLUEPRINT (Asia’s Fashion Gateway) mark its fifth year milestone with participation of stronger brands, more country collaborations, brands with celebrity following and the new category of children’s wear.
We found a great mix of emerging designers at Blueprint The Wardrobe (BTW) at Orchard Central as well as some already established designers and were excited to see the new addition of children’s wear too.
Fashion with celebrity following
Among the labels to watch out for is Roggykei (Japan), fronted by Osaka based designers, Keiko Miyakoshi and Hitoshi Korogi who views fashion as a reflection of personality, as well as a means of communication with our society. Who better to epitomize this belief than Lady Gaga who has been a loyal follower of Roggykei since 2011.
Standing tall above the crowd is Kandee (UK), which debuted in 2010 at London Fashion Week, with the sole mission of offering eye-catching footwear. Kandee has since established for itself a cult following of fashionistas like Victoria Beckham, Rihanna, Eva Longoria, Jessie J, Kimberly Watt, Rita Ora and Cher Lloyd just to name a few. Despite his strong celebrity following, British designer Josh Wayman is firm in his insistence to maintain the brand’s street cred through a ‘high fashion meets high street’ philosophy.
Quality Childrenswear
Parents can enjoy shopping for the whole family at BLUEPRINT this year. BLUEPRINT is expanding its repertoire by introducing quality childrenswear labels such as Curiosity (Australia) for the adventurous and outdoorsy, Forty Red Bangles (India) for the environmentally friendly, Marc and Molly’s (Singapore) inspired by the British countryside, Maria Della Rochetta (Italy) for some mother and daughter fun and Le Petit Society (Singapore) for some Asian street style with European luxury, just to name a few.
