Mothers cannot stop their bubbas from running, climbing and jumping.

But, we can be prepared for the moment when they scrape their knees or suffer cuts from an accidental fall.

Here are some items that I have in my bag at all times:
– tissues, to dry their tears
– plasters
Young Living essential oils of Purification, Lavender and Peppermint

I know what you are thinking: shouldn’t you have some antiseptic lotion instead?

My antiseptic is the Young Living essential oil blend of Purification. Only 1 drop is enough to clean out impurities from the wound, and immediately stop bubba from crying as it reduces the pain that they feel.

During a recent public holiday, I brought my kids to play with their classmates at a playground. Within half an hour, my elder one and his friend came to me complaining as they had each suffered a large scratch on the foot.

My son immediately gave his foot to me and asked for some oil, while his friend hesitated. I only used one drop of Purification on the small bleeding wound, and he immediately went back to playing.

His friend witnessed the whole scene and was still unsure, despite the throbbing pain from the scratch. He sat on the ground holding his foot and watched as my son ran around with other kids, laughing.

Looking at the fun my son was having and not wanting to miss out on another second of fun, the boy was finally convinced to give the oil a try. After placing only one drop of Purification on the scratch, he immediately put his shoes back on and started running towards the other kids.

That was an immediate testimonial to the healing wonders of the Purification essential oil blend from Young Living.

Purification

The Purification blend consists of these single oils:-

Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus), which has antiseptic, antibacterial, anti inflammatory properties that purify.

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus), which is antiseptic, antibacterial, anti inflammatory and is a vasodilator. It may help improve circulation, wake up the lymphatic system and increase the flow of oxygen.

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), which is antiseptic and anti infectious. It may help to improve circulation and help stimulate nerves.

Melaleuca (Melaleuca alternifolia), which is anti fungal, anti infectious, antiseptic, and antiviral. It is an immune stimulant and acts as a cleanser and detoxifier of the blood.

Lavandin (Lavandula x hybrida), which is a tissue regenerator. It is also anti fungal, antiseptic, and antibacterial.

Myrtle (Myrtus communis), which is a decongestant of the respiratory system. It is antiseptic and antibacterial. It aids in improving oxygenation in the body.

Fo bigger wounds or injuries that have more bleeding, I will also include Lavender and Peppermint into the protocol. Lavender stops bleeding and prevents any scarring, while Peppermint amplifies the effects of the previous two oils, and also aids in totally eliminating pain.

Only one drop of each oil is sufficient, and I repeat the protocol every 15-20 minutes for an hour or until the kid has forgotten that the injury exists.
