It has been a collaboration in the making since June of this year and now, finally, the Isabel Marant pour H&M collection is unveiled in our beautiful island.
Launching here very recently, this long anticipated collection of Parisian allure in an eclectic mix of boho elegance, has had the crowds queuing and pieces flying off the hangers in near record time. We went along to see for ourselves exactly what this collection has to offer to the Mamas of Singapore.
Isabel Marant has created clothing, using her usual style of rock ‘n’ roll along with cowboy looks to bring this must-have mix of wardrobe essentials to H&M stores worldwide. If your fashion sense is a unique celebration of individualism then you will adore this collection of wearable looks with attitude.
For Fashionista Mamas there’s tailoring in a mannish style for – coats and jackets where strong shoulders are featured alongside skinny trousers, sweatshirts, loose blouses, floaty dresses and textured knits. We are particularly fond of the tie-dye prints on trousers and blouses that bring the more tailored pieces into a free-spirited style.
Your fashion-following men are not left out here, as Marant imagines, for the very first time, a compact wardrobe for men that follows the same multi-culti careless vibe. Sharply-tailored outerwear and heavy knits, motorbike leather trousers team up with tie-dye t-shirts. There are also sporty pieces that exude an air of vintage Americana for our guys.
Isabel Marant is famous for her rebellion against the accepted norms, both as a teenager and as a designer, and it comes as no surprise that she, also, wanted to bring to this collection some free-spirited pieces for our teenagers. Simply taking the women’s wardrobe and editing it effortlessly, she realizes and adds to the H&M collection with clothing for the teenage audience too.
