With Chinese New Year just around the corner, many Mamas out there will be vexing with the one and only reunion dinner! Well, look no further, for we have Crowne Plaza Changi Airport to the rescue.

Award-winning Azur is known for both its extensive Western and Asian range of delectable dishes, so you don’t have to fuss about Ah mah only eating Chinese food, or Bubba being picky. This year, treat your family (and yourself, of course!) to the Auspicious Buffet Menu, created by Executive Chef, Andrew Tham, from 20th January to 14 Feburary 2014.

Chef Tham’s mouth-watering Prosperity Yusheng Options will leave you spoilt! No time for a few hours of gastronomy pleasures? Bring the goodness home with you in an elegant takeaway box.

Prosperity Yusheng Options (serves 8): 

Traditional: Woft Herring ($48++)

Contemporary: Salmon ($48++)

Premium: Abalone ($88++)

Vegetarian: Mock Abalone ($42++)

Add-on options:

Sliced Abalone ($48++)

Artic Clams ($38++)

Norwegian Salmon ($28++)

A dish that deserves special mention is definitely the traditional Fortune Pig Trotters with Dried Oysters and Black Moss. Succulent pig trotters are cooked tenderly with savoury dried oysters and fa cai (for some HUAT!), the collagen-rich pig skin soaks up all that flavour and the result is heavenly. My personal favourite is the frangrat Fried Rice with Eight Treasures, with generous bites of gingko nuts, lotus, prawns, ham, edamame, waxed pork, carrot and eggs. The other dishes available only during this festive period include: Steamed Seabass Fillet with Snow Fungus and Lily Flower, Sea Cucumber with Chinese Mushroom Casserole, Roasted Duck, Roasted Pork with Walnut Glaze and Ginger Mustard.

Not losing out to Chinese cuisine in the limelight, the Signature Seafood bar will also feature: Boston Lobsters, Boiled Flower Crabs, Freshly Shucked House Oysters, Half Shell Scallops and Steamed Korean Clams.

Do try out the fusion twist of a classic dessert, Osmanthus Creme Brulee with Seasonal Berries, for a sweet end to your meal, and an even sweeter start to the new year.

In addition to these featured dishes for this Chinese New Year, there will be Western dishes, Asian and Western ‘Live’ Stations, Seafood on Ice, Carving Stations and desserts. Semi-private dining areas are also available.
