TAKE A TRIP DOWN THE MEMORY LANE OF SINGAPORE FASHION WITH SG50 SINGAPORE FASHION RUNWAY
Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane and celebrate 50 years of Singapore Fashion. Celebrating Singapore’s jubilee year with SG50 Singapore Fashion Runway from Saturday, 6th – Sunday, 7th June 2015.
The founder of SG50 Singapore Fashion Runway, who is also the founder of local fashion label Noël Caleb, Eileen Yap says, of her time having lived, studied, worked and travelled extensively, nowhere feels like home except Singapore. The proud Singaporean says that her overseas stints reminded her just how much Singapore means to her. Singapore is also the place, which allowed her to accomplish many firsts of her life – both professionally and personally.
Hence; with her background in fashion, she is going back to the root of fashion which is to connect with people through SG50 Singapore Fashion Runway. She will bring a community of people from various industries, age group, occupations and generations and collaborate together to work as a team to design, produce and manage the collective process of fashion pieces inspired by Singapore. Over time, she hopes that Singapore will make a name as an international fashion hub, develop a strong national brand and create interesting pieces that will be well received by the world.
This exciting SG50 Singapore Fashion Runway project kicks off during the weekend of 6th and 7th June 2015, there will be an exhibition that showcases Singapore fashion from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000 to the future as well as two fashion shows.

You can get involved and make history in this SG50 Singapore Fashion Runway project – SG50 Singapore Fashion Runway is looking for Designers and, of course, public votes on the best designs.
