Prestige skincare brand, Murad, recently debuted a digital vertical called Well Connected on their website, murad.com. The digital magazine will be an editorial platform that connects the dots between wellness and science.
Well Connected features original content from clinicians, researchers and experts and covers various topics within skin health. It serves as the key outlet to express founder Dr. Howard Murad’s four key pillars of wellness:
- Being Kind to Your Mind
- Eating Your Water
- Awakening Your Body
- Nourishing Your Skin
With 12-14 stories per month, you can expect a thoughtful curation of content to help you navigate the often-saturated world of wellness.
For the past three years, the Unilever-owned brand has focused on aligning itself closer to wellness, to amplify its founder Dr. Howard Murad’s principles of combatting stress-related skin health issues.
As brands strive to share information and establish trust in the digital age, “There is an overwhelming amount of information out there, particularly in the digital/social sphere,” Dr Murad acknowledges.
“But the problem is,“ he says “how do people know what is legitimate? What is actually proven and not just unsubstantiated discourse?” With the debut of Well Connected, it is an effort to showcase its content with its science-backed approach. “Bringing readers reputable information, rooted in facts and proof, is not only the backbone of Well Connected but of Murad as a whole,” explains Dr Murad.
He added that “Well Connected is the conduit for us to further amplify our purpose of bringing well-being to as many people as possible.”
“Well Connected is the next step of Dr Murad’s decades-long journey to improve the well-being of his patients and consumers,” explains Michelle Shigemasa, CEO of Murad.
“Consumers have come to trust us for our clinically backed, efficacious formulas, and they can expect that same standard when they read Well Connected. Our goal is to serve up science-backed resources that people can have confidence in on their own health and wellness journeys.”
Well Connected will exclusively feature digestible and validated contents by contributors with proven expertise in their fields. Each month, Well Connected will feature a guest editor responsible for curating the site’s content around their particular topic of expertise:
- Candace Reels, activist and founder of The Female Collective, will focus on inclusive wellness
- Sophia Amoruso, serial entrepreneur and New York Times bestselling author, will focus on financial wellness
- Dr. Zion Ko, a board-certified internist who has amassed a legion of followers on TikTok and Instagram, will focus on holistic skin wellness
“Well Connected symbolizes the next key step of many as we continue to diversify our content offerings and serve as a trusted source for wellness – including total skin health – for consumers and readers everywhere,” says Shigemasa.
